Image Comics 25th Anniversary Variants

Image Comics will release monthly theme variants in celebration of the company’s 25th anniversary. The first in the series of variants will launch with Rick Remender and Wes Craig’s DEADLY CLASS #26 that will pay homage to Marc Silvestri’s CYBERFORCE #1.  DEADLY CLASS #26 Cover B will feature art by Eric Canete and colors by Jordan Boyd paying tribute to the fan-favorite Top Cow series CYBERFORCE, which brought fans in droves when it first hit stores in 1992.

Each month of the anniversary year of Image Comics will boast a special theme for the variants, beginning Wednesday, February 1st, the exact date of the founding of Image Comics in 1992. February’s theme is “homage covers celebrating past, present, future” with variants paying tribute to popular titles throughout Image Comics’ history. See the DEADLY CLASS #26 cover below and also the CYBERFORCE #1 cover from 1992 that the cover art is influenced by.  What were some of your favorite Image Comic titles from the 90’s?
