Cosplay Model Siren Croft
– Cosplay Model Siren Croft –
The amazing cosplay model Siren Croft delivers the personification of Harley Quinn… Comiccoverage.com caught up with the beautiful cosplay model known as Siren Croft at the 2050 Event in Daytona Beach, Florida. We were able to capture some great photos of Siren in a 10 minute shoot as Harley Quinn and had an interview with her. She was very friendly and even took a moment during our brief photo shoot to sign an autograph for a young fan. Sirens incredible makeup is the work of Annel McCauley Neskie (@Painted_Sparrow) who did many fantastic creations all Halloween weekend in the International Academy booth at 2050. (NOTE: We took these photos on the event floor and used a random show drape as a background. We did not have our lights that we would have liked to use since we were shooting 2050 show coverage. There is no denying that she looks amazing and did a great job with her expressions. We hope to do a real photo shoot with her in the future.) See photos and interview below.
comiccoverage.com (C.C.): Your cosplays are pretty detailed. How long have you been cosplaying?
Siren Croft (S.C.): I have been officially cosplaying since 2013.
C.C.: We know that you attend many Florida Conventions. Where are you from?
S.C.: I live in Ocala, Florida.
C.C.: What got you into cosplaying?
S.C.: Well, I was actually introduced to cosplaying by my father. He is a member of a motorcycle charity known as S.E.C.T.O.R. 7. He was also at 2050 with a few other members. He showed me some things that had to do with conventions and cosplayers and it was just one picture of a cosplayer that got me hooked. I started attending different conventions dressed as characters that I loved and looked up to and have been cosplaying every since.
C.C.: What was your very first cosplay?
S.C.: My first actual cosplay was Lara Croft from Tomb Raider. I’ve always thought she was a strong and beautiful female icon. (the influence for her cosplay last name) Even when I first started cosplaying, I did it with my whole heart. I try to decide who I’ll cosplay as based on all sorts of things, their personalities, what they are involved with and whether or not I can relate to them in some way or another.
C.C.: Now I have to ask; have you ever played any of the Tomb Raider games?
S.C.: Yes, I used to play the older Tomb Raider games ALL the time on PlayStation 2.
C.C.: What are some of your favorite games to play?
S.C.: Borderlands is my favorite! But I enjoy Battlefield 3 & 4, and I have just started getting into League of Legends.
C.C.: Do you have a favorite platform?
C.C.: Do you enjoy watching movies ?
S.C.: I really love Tim Burton, anything made by him is like gold to me.
C.C.: Do you have a TV show that you love to watch?
S.C.: I am so addicted to Doctor Who!
C.C.: Agree! That is a great show. A lot of people cosplay as Doctor Who characters. What is your favorite cosplay that you have now?
S.C.: Mad Moxxi from Borderlands and Harley Quinn for sure! I need to remake Moxxi, unfortunately.
C.C.: We thought you are an amazing Harley Quinn(Which is why we just had to take these photos). How many characters do you cosplay as?
S.C.: Thanks. Right now I have about 7 or 8 cosplays. It may not seem like a lot, but each one I do I put great effort into. There are so many characters that I would love to cosplay as. I’m starting of with a few, but I hope to one day have hundreds.
C.C.: Are you cosplaying a hobby or is it full time?
S.C.: Cosplaying is a hobby for now, but I truly wish to make a career out of it. I want to travel to conventions not just in Florida, but all over the world. I really do love cosplaying and I enjoy meeting new people with similar interests. I want to one day make my dreams become a reality.
C.C.: Where can people find out more information about you?
S.C.: People can find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/
S.C.: Please just enjoy it and don’t try to get famous from it, don’t try to be better than others, and don’t downgrade others if they are not as skilled as you or other cosplayers. I do not stand for cosplay bullying or bullying in general. Just have fun!
